Halfus Wyrmbreaker
This fight changes every week. Halfus Wyrmbreaker will be engageable, as well as several different choice of dragons. Each week the dragons available changes. The key to this fight is understanding what releasing each dragon does and how it will effect the raid.

The following is a list of abilities that Halfus Wyrmbreaker may use during the encounter. (Dependant on which dragons are enabled for the week)

Furious Roar - 1.5 sec cast-Halfus roars, inflicting 9500 to 10500 Physical damage and knocking his enemies to the ground. Halfus starts to cast this at 50% every 30 seconds.

Shadow Nova - 0.25 sec cast-Dark magic is unleashed, causing 28500 to 31500 Shadow damage and knocking back all enemies within 50000 yds.

Shadow Wrapped - Shadows swirl around Halfus, empowering him to cast Shadow Nova.

Malevolent Strikes - Halfus' attacks wound the target, reducing the effectiveness of any healing on it by 0%. Stacks.

The following is a list of the dragons and what abilities they allow Halfus Wyrmbreaker to use, and how they effect the raid.

Storm Rider - Allows Halfus Wyrmbreaker to cast Shadow Nova. Shadow Nova is only interruptable once the Storm Rider is released.

The Time Warden - Allows the Proto Drake to cast fireballs on the raid resulting in heavy raid damage. Releasing this drake slows the fireballs to where they can be dodged, heavily reducing raid damage and making healing more controllable.

The Slate Dragon - Allows Halfus Wyrmbreaker to use Malevolent Strikes, which is a healing debuff that stacks ont he current tank. 5% healing reduced per stack. Setting this dragon free periodically stuns Halfus for 12 seconds.

Nether Scion - Gives Halfus an attack speed increase. Setting this dragon free reduces Halfus' attack speed, hit chance, and damage done.

Orphaned Emerald Whelp - Allows the Proto Drake to flame breath the raid causing heavy raid damage. Releasing the Whelps will cause the raid to take less flame breath damage.

Killing a released dragon/whelps will place a debuff on Halfus increasing damage done to him by 50% per dragon/whelps killed. Ex: Releasing the Slate Dragon and killing it will cause you to do 50% more damage to Halfus, further releasing the Nether Scion and killing that dragon as well will cause Halfus to take 100% increased damage.

Strategy
There will be 3 active drakes. The key to this fight is understanding what each dragon does and what kind of synergy they have together with the boss. The aim is to take out dragon that poses the most threat to the raid. Understand that if a dragon is inactive, the ability that Halfus gains from that dragon is also inactive. ex: If the Storm Rider is inactive, Halfus will not cast Shadow Nova, therefore there will be nothing to interrupt. The idea of this fight is to active one or two dragons and burn them immediately. The hardest part of this fight is the beginning, once you get 2 dragons down the rest is comparitively easy. There is no set strategy to this fight since the dragons that are active each week changes, but here are a few tips.

Storm Rider - Interrupt rotation may need to be set depending on the cooldowns of available interruptors, if this dragon is active with either the Time warden or Orphaned Emerald whelp I highly suggest activating this dragon at the start of the fight. If no activated, Halfus' Shadow Nova will be uninterruptable, which causes your healers to be knocked back during healcasting resulting in a higher risk of raid deaths.

The Time Warden - Another dragon that I highly suggest releasing at the beginning of the fight. Without this dragon released, the raid will be taking heavy unavoidable raid damage.

The Slate Dragon - This dragon isn't that bad. This dragon just makes your tanks have to taunt off eachother to let the healing debuff fall off.

Nether Scion - If your healers are able to keep the tank up without this dragon released at the beginning of the fight, I would suggest releasing it after the first dragon is killed. One exception is if the Nether Scion AND Slate Dragon are both active, in this case release BOTH the Nether Scion and Slave Dragon. Having the Nether Scion not engaged with the Slate Dragon will cause your tanks to rapidly stack up the healing debuff and cause massive incoming tank damage.

Orphaned Emerald Whelp: I suggest releasing the whelps with a dragon at the beginning of the fight, the whelps dont take much to kill and will usually die to aoe quickly.

1. Check which dragons are active before you begin the fight, make sure everyone in the raid knows which abilities are active (ex: if Storm Rider, Orphaned Enerald Whelp, and The Time Warden are active, the abilities that are enabled for the boss to use during the counter are: Fireballs, Flame Breath, and Shadow Nova)

2. Understand how they work with eachother
a. Shadow Nova - knockback damage, spell interupption
b. Fireball - heavy raid damage
c. Flame Breath - heavy raid damage

3. Make a game plan

a. Start off by releasing one dragon, the one with the highest threat if not released.
(Main Tank pulls boss, Offtank releases a Dragon. If you chose to release two dragons have a dps release another so you gain the benefit of releasin both dragons right away)

b. If that doesn't work try releasing two dragons if they are both high threats, especially if they complement eachother. ex: Nether Scion+Slate Dragon

4. At 50% Halfus will start to cast Furious Roar which stuns the raid. He casts this every 30 seconds.
The only real problem this causes is if Shadow Nova is one of his active abilities, therefore you would need to assign people who are able to avoid the Furious roar to interrupt his Shadow Nova cast after the third pulse of his Furious Roar.
